When McFly announced another tour this April, the 'Greatest Hits Arena Tour'.

McFly’s last tour, which they finished a few months ago, only included one Belfast date.
Once again they will only have one date in Ireland, in Belfast.
Mcfly Will Tour lots of different areas around the UK, obviously with Irish dates lacking hugely.
McFly will have a total of 34 dates on the Greatest Hits Arena Tour.

Harry Potter's love interest in the Film ‘Luna Lovegood’ played by Irish Actress Evanna Lynch, 15 was at the screening along with here mum Marguerite.

Justin Timberlake’s eagerly awaited tour finally came to Ireland, after tickets were snatched up as far back as last year.
Justin opened up the show with his song ‘Future/Sex Love Sounds’, also the name of his latest successful 2nd solo album.
He played all his big hits, such as: Like I Love You, Cry Me A River, Rock Your Body, My Love and his latest song Love Stoned, he then ended his show with Sexy Back.
Mid way through the concert, Justin was joined on staged by Timbaland, who sang and co-produced Justin Timberlake’s songs on his two solo platinum albums.
Fergie of the band ‘The Black Eyed Peas’ was Justin’s support act for the night, singing a melody of her and Black Eyed Peas songs such song as ‘Where Is The Love’ and ‘Glamorous’.
Nicky and Mark from Westlife attended the concert on Saturday, they watched the concert from the VIP Balcony, they were joined by family and friends, including Georgina, Nicky’s wife and Nicky’s sister in law Cecelia Ahern, author of ‘P.S I Love You’ and Mark’s boyfriend.

a Hip Hop, Funk Choreographer/ Dancer organised a special Dance Blitz, To give people a chance to learn dance routines from the pros. A Dance Blitz was organised for the 29th of June at Tripod Nightclub, Dublin. Everyone there got to learn 4 different dance routines from four of Justin Timberlake’s dancers including his choreographer Marty.
The four dancers Eddie, Sky, Nick and Marty
each taught an hours worth of a dance routines, to songs such as
Timbalands song 'Release', Mario's song 'Let Me Love You', each routine with a different kind of style. Last dance was to Justin Timberlakes song 'My Love' taught by Marty.
To round of the night there was a freestyle tournament, the best freestyler’s won Justin Timberlake concert tickets,Champions sports vouchers, and some hoodies.

Neil Taylor plays the guitar for one of the worlds most popular, and successful artists, ever to come out of Britain, that is Robbie Williams.
His career with Robbie Williams band began in 2001, when he was asked to play on Robbie's album: “Sing When You’re Winning”.
Ever since then he has performed live on tour with Robbie playing concerts for up to 100,000 people a night!
One of his memorable achievements was playing to a staggering 375,000 people, over three days In Knebworth Park, August 2003.
This was one of the biggest music events in British history.
Neil has also played and preformed with other music legends such as Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, The Pretenders,
Van Morrison Paul Young and
Morrissey.
The Interview
NMN: What age were you when you first realized you had a love for playing the guitar?
Neil: I had an acoustic when I was 4,but didn’t start to play seriously until I was 13 when my parents bought me my first electric guitar!!
NMN: Which famous guitarists did you admire growing up?
Neil: I loved Marc Bolan[T.rex], Francis Rossi [Status Quo]
of course Jimi Hendrix, but my all time favourite was Ritchie Blackmore [Deep purple]
NMN: Which 3 songs do you enjoy playing the most, either personally or professionally?
Neil: I enjoy playing Come Undone [Robbie Williams] playing it was great, I play a big solo at the end!
In My Chair [Status quo] and Let Me Entertain you [RW] that’s amazing live.
NMN: You started to begin working with Robbie Williams in 2001, What is one of the most memorable
concerts you've done with him?
Neil: Its got to be Knebworth, we played there for 3 nights...
NMN: How does it feel going back into the studio to record with Robbie this time around?
Neil: Its great, we are all having a lot of fun.
NMN: You mentioned in your blog, on your website www.silvermusic.tv that you are finishing your own album, what type of music can fans expect to hear from your new album?
Neil: Its guitar driven, rock.. more fun lyrics than I normally write. There is a song on my MySpace website it’s called Drunken lullaby!
My last album under the name Dogwood [Toothpick's pillow] was a pain full process, this is much more light hearted.
I also have a project with Jerry and Chris from Robbie's band, that’s very retro late sixties early seventies, its called Supersize, its a three piece rock band and it's fun to play.
NMN: Which of your own songs in particular, lyrically
and artistically are you the most proud of ?
Neil: 'Every Day As It Comes' on the Dogwood album, it’s a very heartfelt lyric, not the most uplifting song to listen to, But I’m still proud of it.
Drunken Lullaby on the other hand is very tongue and cheek!
NMN: Finally, What advice would you give to aspiring guitarist?
Neil: This is always a hard question..its not easy, you seem to take one step foward and 10 steps back, an uphill struggle, but try to get in a band to gain experience..and if you’re good enough eventually, you’ll get noticed or make it with your band.

Lou Pearlman Caught Running From The Law
Lou Pearlman was captured running from the FBI in Indonesia,
Since then his whereabouts had been unknown from about December 2006.
The mastermind behind 'Nsync and the Backstreet Boys had been running from the law.
Pearlman is accused of swindling hundreds of millions of dollars from helpless people, defrauding many senior citizens of their life savings.
He was then finally taken into custody by the FBI in Indonesia on Thursday morning.
Earlier this week, Pearlman's possessions and those associated with his Trans Continental
companies were auctioned off and raised more than $200,000.
Unfortunately, that's only a fraction of the millions of dollars of debts claimed in bankruptcy by numerous banks and more than 1,000 individual investors.

The 5 members of Take That will reunite to pay tribute to Princess Diana at the 'Concert For Diana' on July 1st. Well not exactly as a band, as of yet.
Take That were due to take a holiday from their work commitments, just before they start gearing up for their world tour.
Plans were quickly changed and Take That gladly excepted their invitations to take part in the Concert for Diana.
"Band member Mark Owen said: "We were all due to be away with our families on the date of the event when the concert was first announced, but after being asked to perform last week we got together and decided we wanted to do anything we could to help make Diana's concert one of the highlights of the summer."
It would be both Robbie William's and Take That's first time to share a stage together in over 12 years.
Update on Paris Hilton's Prosecution:
Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton today was sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating her probation in a reckless-driving case.
Sauer ordered her to report to Los Angeles County Jail on June 5.
"I don't know what happened. I did what they said," Hilton said afterward.
Her mother, Kathy, told the prosecutor after the judge's decision:

Paris Hilton, Heiress To Go To Jail?
Paris Hilton, 26, could possibly do a jail term of up to 45 days.

Paris Hilton's life in the fast lane could slow down significantly. The hotel heiress faces a hearing today (Friday 4th of May) for allegedly violating the terms of her probation for an alcohol-related reckless driving conviction. Prosecutors have asked that she be jailed for 45 days.
Prosecutors also want Hilton to stay away from alcohol for 90 days.
City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo said
"Anyone who would have conducted themselves in a way that resulted in this set of facts, we would have made the same recommendation of 45 days in county jail, regardless of whether they were a celebrity or not," he said Thursday.
Hilton, pleaded no contest in January to reckless driving stemming from a Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood. Police said she appeared intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test.
Two other traffic stops and failure to enroll in a mandated alcohol education program, are what landed the socialite back in court.
On Jan. 15, Hilton was pulled over by California Highway Patrol. Officers informed her that she was driving on a suspended license.
Hilton was pulled over again on Feb. 27 and charged her with violating her probation. Police said she was pulled over at about 11 p.m. after authorities saw the car speeding with its headlights off.
Hilton's spokesman, Elliot Mintz, said at the time Hilton wasn't aware her license was suspended.
Hilton was also required to enroll in an alcohol education program by Feb. 12. As of April 17, she had not enrolled, prosecutors said.

The Irish Film and Television Awards are delighted to announce the shortlist of nominees in 32 strongly contested categories for the 2006 Awards, taking place on 9th of February at Dublin’s RDS. The number of submissions rose again this year, reflecting the growing expertise of Irish people working in the film and television industry – at home and abroad.
Neil Jordan’s Breakfast on Pluto leads the pack with a total of 10 nominations followed closely by Brian Kirk’s Middletown with nine. Ken Loach’s The Wind That Shakes the Barley and John Boorman’s The Tiger’s Tail have also registered seven nominations each. In another strong year for Irish acting, the shortlist features some of Ireland’s top talent receiving multiple nominations. Literally Ireland’s famous street ‘Grafton Street’ was covered with over 1,000 people on Saturday. All there to greet, and, catch a glimpse of the glamorous celebrity starlet.
BT2 was where Paris Hilton launched her new perfume ‘Heiress’. BT2 gave 200 lucky fans the chance to meet and greet the superstar. All you had to do, was be one of the first 200 people on Monday, to buy her new fragrance at any BT2 outlet in Ireland. As you can imagine, they were snatched up immediately.
What entailed in meeting her was a generous offering goodie bag. Read on to find out what was enclosed in it!
A childhood wish finally came true for Paris Hilton when she arrived in Ireland on Friday.
Paris, the maternal great granddaughter of Dorothy Doogan, who was Irish, had always longed to visit the land of her ancestors.
Paris was accompanied by her parents, Kathy and Richard Hilton, her mother Kathy (Richards), was anxious to trace her former nanny, Marie Crawford, who hailed from Dublin.
Paris although very tired from her long flight from L.A on Friday, couldn’t resist visiting two of Dublin’s top nightclubs - Lillies Bordello and Renards, on Friday night.
Review:
Shortly before Paris was due to arrive, at around 11:50am. a blacked out people carrier drove down the side street of BT2.
The doors opened, and out came Richard and Kathy Hilton, parents of Paris, and heirs to the Hilton Hotel billion dollar fortune.
Once they got out of the car, they were greeted by excited fans of Paris.
Looking radiant, Kathy Hilton signed some autographs for fans.
Ricky happily stood waiting for Paris to arrive. Shortly afterwards they both went into BT2, away from the typically cold and windy Irish weather.
At approximately 12:40pm. a fashionable 40 minutes late, a silver Mercedes car drove down the side street, and pulled up near to the entrance of the store, followed by large cheers from excited fans. There to greet her as she arrived were her parents.
Minutes later Paris emerged from the car. Looking as glamorous as ever, she wore a Diane Von Furstenberg chiffon dress and a black cropped velvet jacket by Matthew Williamson. Also wearing Miu Miu shoes.
She walked over to fans smiling and waving, and signed some autographs and took picture’s with them. Working her way around the crowds, 15 minutes later, Paris entered the BT2 Store.
You could tell that she is very appreciative of her fans.
Up close she has flawless skin. She has a great figure, and isn’t too skinny like most celebrities these days. Her long blond hair is perfect also.
Since there is no such thing as ‘perfect’, well she most certainly pulled that off on Saturday.
As Paris arrived outside,
New Minute News welcomed her to Ireland, and in her cute girly American accent she said ‘Thank You’. We gave Paris a present of some of the finest quality Irish ‘Butlers’ chocolate, and an Irish postcard with a short message on it. As we handed it to her, which she gratefully accepted with a big smile, she then took our camera, gave it to her minder, and insisted on him taking a picture with us.
We also welcomed Kathy to Ireland and she said ‘Thank You’, and We also asked the obvious question, ‘Are you enjoying Ireland’ and she said ‘We love it here’.
Paris then made her speech outside BT2 on Grafton St. saying:“Thank You very much for coming today, I feel so special and am so excited to be here,. I just feel so happy to be here right now, so thank you everyone for coming and I’m here to support my new fragrance ‘Heiress’ and you guys are hot, so thank you! And I love you guys too, thank you so much, thank you”.

As her 200 lucky fans waited in the queue, BT2 couldn’t have been better hostesses, bringing people drinks, sweets, chocolate and Starbucks Christmas special peppermint coffee drinks with whipped cream and pink sprinkles! Making waiting for Paris in the Irish winter more pleasant.
As the queue started moving, fans slowly but surely went into greet Paris Hilton.
OK, so you want to know what was in the goody bag then?
There was: An A4 picture of Paris autographed with your name, an autographed album cover from her album, a CD with four of Paris’ songs, and a beautiful diamante watch along with some samples of her perfume!
New Minute News’ experience from that day was wonderful. Although we were there to report ,we certainly had fun too.
We agreed that she acknowledged everyone who spoke to her, and listened intently.
It was clear to see that her parents were there to support her, and the Hilton’s come across as a very caring, and humble family.

MTV EUROPEAN MUSIC AWARDS 2006 IN COPENHAGEN
Opening the show was Justin Timberlake with an outstanding performance of his songs ‘Sexy Back’ and ‘My Love’.
The show started off with Borat on a large screen giving a nervous Justin 'pointers' on presenting. The humour grew sour as Borat became more controversial with his jokes about Jews and Denmark. Justin replied disgustedly telling Borat ‘enough’. In character, or not, Borat had gone too far with his explicit jokes.
First to win an award on the night was Gnarls Barkley, followed by an outstanding performance by 'The Killers’ Second award tonight was won by 'Muse’ for ‘Best Alternative Act’.
The Third award was won by ’Depeche Mode’ who thanked MTV for playing their music videos for over 20 years.
Rhianna then hit the stage with her song ‘SOS’ along with dancers to set the tone.
Johnny Knoxville who arrived on stage with beer, presented ‘Best Album Award’ to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. They couldn’t be there, since they are currently on tour in America. A video of them was shown from the US accepting the award. The excitement, or gratitude, was no where to be seen for winning this award. Their reaction only reveals them to be hypocrites.
Next to win an award was ‘Kanye West’ for ‘Best Hip Hop Act‘.
Followed by a performance from ‘Muse’
Half Way into the show was a humorous Avid Merrion, reinacting Madonna’s performance from last years EMA’s.
He hit the stage by coming out of a disco ball rolling, and tumbling, in his Madonna mask and Pink leotard. Stretching and clambering around the stage.
He was then joined by 6 ‘babies’ (dwarfs) all dancing around him.
“Cut the Music” said Merrion, going on to say:
“I’m Madonna, these are my babies’, I bought them from E bay, these are my E Babies’. I’m Madonna!”
After Avid Merrion’s skit, new to the pop scene Rhianna, accepted her first MTV award.
Following was a performance of ‘Drop It Like Its Hot’ by Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dog, who performed outside to a large crowd. They hit the stage all furred out literally, since it was minus degrees in Denmark.
Justice VS Simain won 'Best Music Video’. Self proclaimed Kanye West later revealed he had some ‘Sippy Sippy’. Burst onto the stage, furious he didn’t win. Which many agreed he should have won.
A guy from ‘J VS S’ told him “but you won one already”
Kanye went off stage not a happy bunny.
Host and Performer of the night Justin Timberlake
won an award for ‘Best Pop Act’.
‘Best Rock Act’ went to ‘The Killers’.
‘Best Female Act’ went to Christina Aguilera, who accepted her award via a pre-recorded video link. She apologised for not being there since she is currently preparing for her world tour.
P.Diddy then performed, his usual ‘Diddy’ performance, with clad girls and big fireworks.
Justin went on to win his second award of the night, honouring other artists who were in the same category as himself, such as Pharrell and Kanye.
Pharrell looked disappointed to be leaving without any awards on the night, and later told Justin, “Congratulations” for the award" and gave him a hug.
The winners of this year's Eurovision Song Contest from Finland,
rounded the show off with their song ‘Hard Rock Hallueja’.
This year's EMA’s again met up to all expectations.
With another excellent stage setting. Including comedy, brilliant performances, not to mention drama and deserving winners. Copenhagen proved to be a fantastic host.
Whether winner, or loser, the EMA’s famous drink filled. and scandalous after parties, are where all the celebrities want to be at.

40TH ANNIVERSARY OF UK ROCK BAND STATUS QUO
The main members of Status Quo, Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, were in Dublin this week, on the 25th of October, to sign their book titled
“Status Quo Official 40th Anniversary”.
Celebrating their 40th year in the band, the original band members were welcomed by a great turn out of fans and media.
A huge round of applause and cheers welcomed them at Easons on O‘Connell Street.

Take That’s Front Man: Gary Barlow’s Book Signing in Dublin
Gary Barlow the talented songwriter in the hugely successful 90’s boy band “Take That” was in Dublin to promote his autobiography “My Take” on Friday.
Hundreds of dedicated fans queued up outside ‘Eason’s’ in O’Connell street waiting to get their books signed.
In “My Take” Gary tells of his early days in Take That along with Gary’s opinions on Robbie Williams fall out with him, his Ensuing battle with depression and weight and also his song writing success for acts including Steps, Blue, Charlotte Church and Delta Goodram. Also .
Take That’s new song ‘Patience’ is due out next week.

80’s Pop Duo Wham! Are Back
80’s pop group Wham! are planning a comeback. The duo George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley are set to take to the stage this christmas after George Michael had to convinced his former bandmate, Andrew Ridgeley, to take part in the Christmas concert at London's Wembley Arena.
They had hit songs such as “Last Christmas”, “Club Tropicana”
and "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go."
Their backup singers, Pepsi and Shirley, will also take part in the group’s return.
Michael and Ridgeley formed the group in 1981 and split in 1986.

It’s Official Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie Are Friends Again
Childhood friends Paris and Nicole made there first public appearance together since their feud over a year ago.
They went to a famous old Italian restaurant together in Hollywood called “Dan Tana’s” on Monday night.
When they left the restaurant they were confronted with a crowd of cameramen, making sure to capture their every move.
This friendship will only mean more media attention for the pair which unsurprisingly will work in their favour, these girls know how to work the media and make their money no matter how sweet they come across. Hey they might have even become friends again for business reasons.
Now there are plans of another Simple Life programme which is due to air in March of next year.
Meanwhile this week Aaron and Nick Carter were interviewed on an LA television show “KTLA” and while promoting their new reality show “House of Carter’s,” Nick was asked about his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Paris and he replied “I was like a

Jack Osbourne In Dublin Today Signing His New Autobiography
“21 Years Gone”
Jack Osbourne looked fit, healthy and relaxed at his book signing today in “The Dundrum” shopping centre in Dublin. The book signing which was held in “Easons” bookstore started at 1pm and went on for almost 2hrs. as hundreds of excited fans waited in line to see Jack.
It was only 5 years ago at the age of sixteen that he began to delve into alcohol and drugs.
In his autobiography which was released on the 6th of October,
he tells about his life growing up on the road with his rockstar Dad Ozzy Osbourne and his struggle with drugs and entering rehab, then onto his latest personal developments such as finding his new sense of self discovery and his passion for rock climbing.

Living TV - Launch in Ireland
Thursday Night saw the Launch of 'Living TV' in Ireland. The Party was held in the 'Odean Bar & Grill' on Hardcourt street.
In celebration of the Launch, the contestants from Living TV's 'Britains Next Top Model' flew in from London.
The setting inside was very colourful with Pink lights, lighting up the stage that linked onto a catwalk which had two plasma screens located at both sides of the stage.
Guest were treated to a free bar and light snacks. The atompshere was cheerful.
From 10pm onwards guests were treated to a melody of song by the two musicians who played that night.
The evening ended off nicely as the guests and the girls from 'Britains Next Top Model' all had a great time on the dancefloor ending the evening off nicely.

The Lifestyle of Lindsay Lohan the Drama Queen
There isn’t a day that goes by without Lindsay news!
With the latest news of her split with boyfriend Harry Morton, a broken wrist that lands her in hospital for the fifth time this year after too much partying. Not to mention one but two Lohan drama queens as Lindsay’s mother Dina on September 14th, at her birthday dinner at New York City's Philippe restaurant things went completed wrong.
Dina Lohan was into her second bottle of Cristal champagne along with some pals when Lindsay came in and through a hissy fit about why they started drinking before she arrived and then massive eruptions between Lindsay and her mother ended the night with Lindsay the 'poor little rich girl' storming out of the restaurant with her mother left in tears.
A ’Page Six’ spy looked on at the squabbling pair and reported:
"Lindsay got a call from her mother telling her to come to the party," said a spy. "Lindsay didn't want to go, because her mother was drinking already, but she went anyway."
"When Lindsay got there, her mother and her four friends were into their second bottle of Cristal," said a restaurant goer. "Right after the first course, they started fighting."
The two began to curse at each other in front of other patrons in the crowded Chinese eatery, including Ryan Cabrera, Brandy and Serena Williams at nearby tables. "A mortified" Lindsay finally told her mother to "go to hell!" before she exited. After Lindsay left, Dina started "crying and shaking . . . Dina typed vigorously on her Blackberry for 45 minutes while her friends were just sitting there, and when the birthday cake came out, she broke out crying again - even louder."
The unhappy birthday girl also made "five trips to the bathroom in 90 minutes and came back to the table sniffling each time," said Page Six's witness.
Latest news now is that Lindsay Lohan was seen crying in the lobby at the Chateau Marmont Thursday night (21st of September), the reason for this?
Her boyfriend Harry Morton apparently dumped her during dinner last night.
Before this happened Lindsay was having so much fun in London last week, that she had planned to move to the British capital with boyfriend Harry Morton.
She says, "I just love Notting Hill - it has some really cool shops and great restaurants.

18 year old Aaron Carter's recent relationship to Kari Ann Peniche
turned more serious on Sunday night in Las Vegas when the two were at a ‘Playboy Comedy Tour’.

Paris Hilton Finally Caught Driving Under the Influence
Yes, We Knew, the Paparazzi knew from seeing her leaving clubs in here fancy automobiles drunk many times.
Last night she was caught driving under the influences by the police.
Her rep says that "Paris had had a busy day shooting her new music video and hadnt much to eat"
Ex boyfriend of Paris’ Nick Carter raised a toast to this news on his Myspace profile with a message on his latest bulletin today:

His name is ‘Matt Willis’ he was in the very successful boyband ‘Busted’ they just about made it in the states until one band mate ‘Charlie’ decided to step away from the success to join his other band, which are more of an indie less successful band ‘fightstar‘.
Busted sold millions of CD’s in UK & Ireland with 3 albums.
They appealed to tweens, teens and so on.
Matt’s other band mate in the trio pop group ‘James’ tried his best in a pop group like Busted but failed unfortunately due to the pure cheese that was the band ‘Son of Dork’….
Last but by no means least is Matt Willis attempt to regain the fame he once had with Busted this time he’s doing it on his own.
With his second song out called ‘Hey Kid’ which features on the soundtrack of the movie ‘John Tucker: must die’.
We reckon he is on the path to success

The ‘once a upon a time’ friendship Paris and Tara Reid had, is truly over!
Just recently in LA Tara was waiting patiently at the door of ‘Hyde’ until she was let in…did she get in?
Well lets say Paris arrives 2 minutes later with her posy and whispers into the door mans ear ’don’t let that bitch in’ …ok well we cant say for definite but she probably said that.

Michael Jackson’s Plans to Move to Ireland
For around the past 5 weeks or more Michael Jackson has been staying in Ireland with his three children Prince Michael I, Paris Michael and Prince Michael II. He has been staying in a retreat owned by Guinness Brewer Heir Garech Browne. Situated in Lugalla Co.Wicklow is a 30,000 euro a week luxury mansion.
After attending a Bob Dylan concert in Cork the day after he arrived here in June, Michael Jackson has been keeping on a low key.
Dublin’s popular tabloid ‘The Evening Herald’ went to suss whether or not the ’King Of Pop’ is actually staying there. Here’s their story: “All we could do was press a few buttons on the intercom at the gate of Lugalla and ask if Jackson might be around for a quick chat. “There’s nobody here by that name ,” came the reply.
But who was the high pitched effeminate voice warbling along to Diana Ross in the background??!!”
Also with all the unusual movement of expensive cars and jeeps that drove behind the expansive property away from the view, it makes people even more suspicious. Taking an average of 20mins to get to the nearest town this 5,000 acre property is just what Jackson’s needs after a hectic year of trials last year.
If Jacko does decided to stay in Ireland, best of luck to him at least he would be assured of a more peaceful and quiet reception then anywhere else.
Residence of Lugalla would be a bit distraught if they saw Michael and his children walking around town like this. Local children would be wondering why there parents didnt tell them that it was halloween.

Ozzfest which was founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne 12 years ago have confirmed Ozzfest to begin its tour in Seattle on the 12th of July and will finish on the 30th of July in West Palm Beach, FL.
Ozzfest was created by Ozzy and Sharon, when they realized that there were no festivals for hard rock and heavy metal fans. Performers over the years included Marilyn Manson, Limp Bizkit and Slipknot.
"For the last few years," Sharon Osbourne said in a statement this year, "ticket prices have steadily climbed as artists demand more and more money for summer tours. We certainly want everybody to make money, however we also want the kids to be able to afford to come out and have an incredible experience. If we continued with the traditional touring festival model, we would have no choice but to raise ticket prices again this year."

Take That were leaving on a flight this morning to London from Dublin airport.
NewMinuteNews.com caught them arriving outside the airport and later on when they were checking in to their flight.
On this particular Saturday morning the airport was very busy, but still in all attempts to try and see through crowds arriving at the airport, we first caught a glimpse of Howard wheeling a buggy with his young daughter in it and then Gary followed. Behind Gary was Mark and Jason all looking happy on the cold early morning. Later as they checked in they posed for pictures with fans and signed autographs.
Take That were in Dublin making a special guest appearance on the ‘Late Late Show’ on Friday night, which they performed three of their songs and did an interview.

Over the past 10 years Caroline Downey, organiser and producer of the Childline Concert raised 2.5 million euros for the charity.

The Irish Film and Television Awards are delighted to announce the shortlist of nominees in 32 strongly contested categories for the 2006 Awards, taking place on 9th of February at Dublin’s RDS. The number of submissions rose again this year, reflecting the growing expertise of Irish people working in the film and television industry – at home and abroad.
Neil Jordan’s Breakfast on Pluto leads the pack with a total of 10 nominations followed closely by Brian Kirk’s Middletown with nine. Ken Loach’s The Wind That Shakes the Barley and John Boorman’s The Tiger’s Tail have also registered seven nominations each. Breakfast on Pluto, The Wind That Shakes the Barley and Middletown are Best Film contenders alongside Niall Heery’s unreleased feature Small Engine Repair and David Gleeson’s The Front Line.
In another strong year for Irish acting, the shortlist features some of Ireland’s top talent receiving multiple nominations. Cillian Murphy has garnered dual nominations in the Best Actor category, for his dramatic performances in Breakfast on Pluto and The Wind That Shakes the Barley. He is joined by Colin Farrell (Miami Vice), Pierce Brosnan (The Matador), and Brendan Gleeson (Studs) for the prestigious award. British Pop band McFly were in Dublin on Friday, to sign copies of their new album ‘Motion In The Ocean'. At Virgin Megastores in the Dundrum Shopping Centre.

Later on they performed ‘Star Girl’ on the ‘Late Late Toy Show’ , others who performed on the show were, Shayne Ward and Rod Stewart.

Moving off the subject about their clothing line, interviewer Meredith Vieira asked Mary Kate about her controversial food disorder back in 2004, Mary Kate ignored the answer, while Ashley switched topics to talk about their clothes line for ‘tweens’
(meaning ‘young teenagers‘)
Meredith Vieira rephrased the question by asking, “Do you have particular advice now, that you could give to young girls?”
Mary Kate responded briefly, summing her disorder up “as a phase“, continuing to say, “Everyone has their things that they go through… ask for help if you need to, and hopefully they have a great support group.”

On Saturday night Miriam Ahern’s annual ‘Cari Ball’ took place in Jurys hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin.
Miriam’s two daughters Cecelia Ahern, author of ‘P.S I Love You, and Georgina, who is married to Nicky Byrne from Westlife, arrived together.
Their father, taoiseach Bertie Ahern arrived a short time later.
Others who attended this years most successful Cari Ball and Auction night were, Miriam’s boyfriend Terry McCoy, Ronan and Yvonne Keating, Linda Martin and main speaker on the night Minister for Children Brian Lenihan.

“Cead Mile Failte Romhat” meaning “A hundred thousand welcomes”.
Literally Ireland’s famous street ‘Grafton Street’ was covered with over 1,000 people on Saturday. All there to greet, and, catch a glimpse of the glamorous celebrity starlet.
BT2 was where Paris Hilton launched her new perfume ‘Heiress’. BT2 gave 200 lucky fans the chance to meet and greet the superstar. All you had to do, was be one of the first 200 people on Monday, to buy her new fragrance at any BT2 outlet in Ireland. As you can imagine, they were snatched up immediately.
What entailed in meeting her was a generous offering goodie bag. Read on to find out what was enclosed in it!
A childhood wish finally came true for Paris Hilton when she arrived in Ireland on Friday.
Paris, the maternal great granddaughter of Dorothy Doogan, who was Irish, had always longed to visit the land of her ancestors.
Paris was accompanied by her parents, Kathy and Richard Hilton, her mother Kathy (Richards), was anxious to trace her former nanny, Marie Crawford, who hailed from Dublin.
Paris although very tired from her long flight from L.A on Friday, couldn’t resist visiting two of Dublin’s top nightclubs - Lillies Bordello and Renards, on Friday night.
Review:
Shortly before Paris was due to arrive, at around 11:50am. a blacked out people carrier drove down the side street of BT2.
The doors opened, and out came Richard and Kathy Hilton, parents of Paris, and heirs to the Hilton Hotel billion dollar fortune.
Once they got out of the car, they were greeted by excited fans of Paris.
Looking radiant, Kathy Hilton signed some autographs for fans.
Ricky happily stood waiting for Paris to arrive. Shortly afterwards they both went into BT2, away from the typically cold and windy Irish weather.
At approximately 12:40pm. a fashionable 40 minutes late, a silver Mercedes car drove down the side street, and pulled up near to the entrance of the store, followed by large cheers from excited fans. There to greet her as she arrived were her parents.
Minutes later Paris emerged from the car. Looking as glamorous as ever, she wore a Diane Von Furstenberg chiffon dress and a black cropped velvet jacket by Matthew Williamson. Also wearing Miu Miu shoes.
She walked over to fans smiling and waving, and signed some autographs and took picture’s with them. Working her way around the crowds, 15 minutes later, Paris entered the BT2 Store.
You could tell that she is very appreciative of her fans.
Up close she has flawless skin. She has a great figure, and isn’t too skinny like most celebrities these days. Her long blond hair is perfect also.
Since there is no such thing as ‘perfect’, well she most certainly pulled that off on Saturday.
As Paris arrived outside,
New Minute News welcomed her to Ireland, and in her cute girly American accent she said ‘Thank You’. We gave Paris a present of some of the finest quality Irish ‘Butlers’ chocolate, and an Irish postcard with a short message on it. As we handed it to her, which she gratefully accepted with a big smile, she then took our camera, gave it to her minder, and insisted on him taking a picture with us.
We also welcomed Kathy to Ireland and she said ‘Thank You’, and We also asked the obvious question, ‘Are you enjoying Ireland’ and she said ‘We love it here’.
Paris then made her speech outside BT2 on Grafton St. saying:“Thank You very much for coming today, I feel so special and am so excited to be here,. I just feel so happy to be here right now, so thank you everyone for coming and I’m here to support my new fragrance ‘Heiress’ and you guys are hot, so thank you! And I love you guys too, thank you so much, thank you”.

As her 200 lucky fans waited in the queue, BT2 couldn’t have been better hostesses, bringing people drinks, sweets, chocolate and Starbucks Christmas special peppermint coffee drinks with whipped cream and pink sprinkles! Making waiting for Paris in the Irish winter more pleasant.
As the queue started moving, fans slowly but surely went into greet Paris Hilton.
OK, so you want to know what was in the goody bag then?
There was: An A4 picture of Paris autographed with your name, an autographed album cover from her album, a CD with four of Paris’ songs, and a beautiful diamante watch along with some samples of her perfume!
New Minute News’ experience from that day was wonderful. Although we were there to report ,we certainly had fun too.
We agreed that she acknowledged everyone who spoke to her, and listened intently.
It was clear to see that her parents were there to support her, and the Hilton’s come across as a very caring, and humble family.

MTV EUROPEAN MUSIC AWARDS 2006 IN COPENHAGEN
Opening the show was Justin Timberlake with an outstanding performance of his songs ‘Sexy Back’ and ‘My Love’.
The show started off with Borat on a large screen giving a nervous Justin 'pointers' on presenting. The humour grew sour as Borat became more controversial with his jokes about Jews and Denmark. Justin replied disgustedly telling Borat ‘enough’. In character, or not, Borat had gone too far with his explicit jokes.
First to win an award on the night was Gnarls Barkley, followed by an outstanding performance by 'The Killers’ Second award tonight was won by 'Muse’ for ‘Best Alternative Act’.
The Third award was won by ’Depeche Mode’ who thanked MTV for playing their music videos for over 20 years.
Rhianna then hit the stage with her song ‘SOS’ along with dancers to set the tone.
Johnny Knoxville who arrived on stage with beer, presented ‘Best Album Award’ to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. They couldn’t be there, since they are currently on tour in America. A video of them was shown from the US accepting the award. The excitement, or gratitude, was no where to be seen for winning this award. Their reaction only reveals them to be hypocrites.
Next to win an award was ‘Kanye West’ for ‘Best Hip Hop Act‘.
Followed by a performance from ‘Muse’
Half Way into the show was a humorous Avid Merrion, reinacting Madonna’s performance from last years EMA’s.
He hit the stage by coming out of a disco ball rolling, and tumbling, in his Madonna mask and Pink leotard. Stretching and clambering around the stage.
He was then joined by 6 ‘babies’ (dwarfs) all dancing around him.
“Cut the Music” said Merrion, going on to say:
“I’m Madonna, these are my babies’, I bought them from E bay, these are my E Babies’. I’m Madonna!”
After Avid Merrion’s skit, new to the pop scene Rhianna, accepted her first MTV award.
Following was a performance of ‘Drop It Like Its Hot’ by Pharrell Williams and Snoop Dog, who performed outside to a large crowd. They hit the stage all furred out literally, since it was minus degrees in Denmark.
Justice VS Simain won 'Best Music Video’. Self proclaimed Kanye West later revealed he had some ‘Sippy Sippy’. Burst onto the stage, furious he didn’t win. Which many agreed he should have won.
A guy from ‘J VS S’ told him “but you won one already”
Kanye went off stage not a happy bunny.
Host and Performer of the night Justin Timberlake
won an award for ‘Best Pop Act’.
‘Best Rock Act’ went to ‘The Killers’.
‘Best Female Act’ went to Christina Aguilera, who accepted her award via a pre-recorded video link. She apologised for not being there since she is currently preparing for her world tour.
P.Diddy then performed, his usual ‘Diddy’ performance, with clad girls and big fireworks.
Justin went on to win his second award of the night, honouring other artists who were in the same category as himself, such as Pharrell and Kanye.
Pharrell looked disappointed to be leaving without any awards on the night, and later told Justin, “Congratulations” for the award" and gave him a hug.
The winners of this year's Eurovision Song Contest from Finland,
rounded the show off with their song ‘Hard Rock Hallueja’.
This year's EMA’s again met up to all expectations.
With another excellent stage setting. Including comedy, brilliant performances, not to mention drama and deserving winners. Copenhagen proved to be a fantastic host.
Whether winner, or loser, the EMA’s famous drink filled. and scandalous after parties, are where all the celebrities want to be at.

40TH ANNIVERSARY OF UK ROCK BAND STATUS QUO
The main members of Status Quo, Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, were in Dublin this week, on the 25th of October, to sign their book titled
“Status Quo Official 40th Anniversary”.
Celebrating their 40th year in the band, the original band members were welcomed by a great turn out of fans and media.
A huge round of applause and cheers welcomed them at Easons on O‘Connell Street.
“Status Quo Official 40th Anniversary” includes personal and professional photographs, taken between 1966 and 2006, compiled by Bob Young, and edited by Francis and Rick.
They have sold over 118 million CD’s. internationally, and have had 62 British hit singles, This is something that no other band has ever achieved.
One of their most successful albums 'ROCKIN' ALL OVER THE YEARS', which was released in 1990, sold over 1.1 million units in Great Britain alone.
World-wide sales exceed seven million.

Take That’s Front Man: Gary Barlow’s Book Signing in Dublin
Gary Barlow the talented songwriter in the hugely successful 90’s boy band “Take That” was in Dublin to promote his autobiography “My Take” on Friday.
Hundreds of dedicated fans queued up outside ‘Eason’s’ in O’Connell street waiting to get their books signed.
In “My Take” Gary tells of his early days in Take That along with Gary’s opinions on Robbie Williams fall out with him, his Ensuing battle with depression and weight and also his song writing success for acts including Steps, Blue, Charlotte Church and Delta Goodram. Also .
Take That’s new song ‘Patience’ is due out next week.

80’s Pop Duo Wham! Are Back
80’s pop group Wham! are planning a comeback. The duo George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley are set to take to the stage this christmas after George Michael had to convinced his former bandmate, Andrew Ridgeley, to take part in the Christmas concert at London's Wembley Arena.
They had hit songs such as “Last Christmas”, “Club Tropicana”
and "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go."
Their backup singers, Pepsi and Shirley, will also take part in the group’s return.
Michael and Ridgeley formed the group in 1981 and split in 1986.

It’s Official Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie Are Friends Again
Childhood friends Paris and Nicole made there first public appearance together since their feud over a year ago.
They went to a famous old Italian restaurant together in Hollywood called “Dan Tana’s” on Monday night.
When they left the restaurant they were confronted with a crowd of cameramen, making sure to capture their every move.
This friendship will only mean more media attention for the pair which unsurprisingly will work in their favour, these girls know how to work the media and make their money no matter how sweet they come across. Hey they might have even become friends again for business reasons.
Now there are plans of another Simple Life programme which is due to air in March of next year.
Meanwhile this week Aaron and Nick Carter were interviewed on an LA television show “KTLA” and while promoting their new reality show “House of Carter’s,” Nick was asked about his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Paris and he replied “I was like a
Lion in the Lionesses cage” and goes on to say “I didn’t like her lifestyle”.
Paris is planning to come to Ireland’s capital Dublin on the 9th of November
to the launch the winter collection line of clothes in Dublin’s elite shop “BT2” more famously known as “Brown Thomas”.

Jack Osbourne In Dublin Today Signing His New Autobiography
“21 Years Gone”
Jack Osbourne looked fit, healthy and relaxed at his book signing today in “The Dundrum” shopping centre in Dublin. The book signing which was held in “Easons” bookstore started at 1pm and went on for almost 2hrs. as hundreds of excited fans waited in line to see Jack.
It was only 5 years ago at the age of sixteen that he began to delve into alcohol and drugs.
In his autobiography which was released on the 6th of October,
he tells about his life growing up on the road with his rockstar Dad Ozzy Osbourne and his struggle with drugs and entering rehab, then onto his latest personal developments such as finding his new sense of self discovery and his passion for rock climbing.

Jack who will be 21 years old in November is now 18 months sober and has gone past a bleak milestone in his life. The star, who has recently developed a love of extreme sports, is determined to remain healthy and is currently working on his television programme “Jack Osbourne - Adrenaline Junkie 2”

Living TV - Launch in Ireland
Thursday Night saw the Launch of 'Living TV' in Ireland. The Party was held in the 'Odean Bar & Grill' on Hardcourt street.
In celebration of the Launch, the contestants from Living TV's 'Britains Next Top Model' flew in from London.
The setting inside was very colourful with Pink lights, lighting up the stage that linked onto a catwalk which had two plasma screens located at both sides of the stage.
Guest were treated to a free bar and light snacks. The atompshere was cheerful.
From 10pm onwards guests were treated to a melody of song by the two musicians who played that night.
The evening ended off nicely as the guests and the girls from 'Britains Next Top Model' all had a great time on the dancefloor ending the evening off nicely.

The Lifestyle of Lindsay Lohan the Drama Queen
There isn’t a day that goes by without Lindsay news!
With the latest news of her split with boyfriend Harry Morton, a broken wrist that lands her in hospital for the fifth time this year after too much partying. Not to mention one but two Lohan drama queens as Lindsay’s mother Dina on September 14th, at her birthday dinner at New York City's Philippe restaurant things went completed wrong.
Dina Lohan was into her second bottle of Cristal champagne along with some pals when Lindsay came in and through a hissy fit about why they started drinking before she arrived and then massive eruptions between Lindsay and her mother ended the night with Lindsay the 'poor little rich girl' storming out of the restaurant with her mother left in tears.
A ’Page Six’ spy looked on at the squabbling pair and reported:
"Lindsay got a call from her mother telling her to come to the party," said a spy. "Lindsay didn't want to go, because her mother was drinking already, but she went anyway."
